Genesis 1:26 ” And God said, ” Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness( refers to your inner being): and let them have dominion over——-all the earth (refers to your whole being, your heart, mind, emotions ,physical body as well as the physical Earth).
Taking dominion means taking control.
You need to take control over your:–
- sense of identity. Who are you? —Are you a mere human being, who is a sinner /or are you a son or daughter of God, designed to be a co-creator with God, who came to Earth to help bring forth God’s Kingdom into physical manifestation. ( Romans 8: 16-17)
- beliefs. What do you believe? Where did you obtain these beliefs? From family, peers, school , religion ? Do your beliefs help you to grow spiritually or do they hold you in bondage . Realize that there are many illusions which can hold you in bondage because these incorrect beliefs cause you to fear. Fear then prevents you from doing anything, so you do not even try to change yourself or take dominion. So you need to identity your fear and discover the illusion behind it. Then you can replace it with a truth that is based on God’s reality and not on the so-called truths presented to you through Church and state.
- thoughts. Your beliefs affect your thoughts, your thoughts affect your feelings, your feelings affect your words and your words affect your actions and reactions. So to change yourself and circumstances you need to start by changing your sense of identity and your beliefs. ( Philippians 4:8)
- feelings. Your feelings are emotions. ” e-motion”. e= energy. “Motion” = movement. So your emotions are energies of movement. Negative emotions, such as anger, hatred, revenge, envy and jealousy , etc. are powerful and fuel your words and actions. ( Anger—Matthew 5:22) ( Hatred—1 John 3:14-15) ( Revenge–Romans 12:19) ( Envy–Romans 13:13)
- words. Words can be used positively or negatively , to uplift or pull down. Other people’s words can cause us to act or react. Realize the importance of your words and start to use your gift of speech correctly—to raise up and not pull down. ( Matthew 15:17-20)
- actions. Matthew 7:12 ” Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.” This is the Golden Rule given to us by Jesus who wants us to understand what we do to others will be returned to us.
- reactions. To avoid reacting to others when they press your buttons, you need to first ” cast out the beam out of your own eye “.(Matthew 7: 1-5) The “beam” is your own ego and its many illusions. Once you have recognized how your ego works, and what games it tries to get you to play, you can start to take back control from it.
- personal circumstances. Your circumstances are created by the Law of Cause and Effect. Galatians 6:7 ” Be not deceived ; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” The law of Cause and Effect is designed to teach you that you create your own world through your own free will choices, through your ability to think, feel, speak and act. And what you send out into the world ( through your thoughts, feelings, words and actions) will return to you. This is because everything is energy. And energy will always return to the one who sent it out.
You need to take back control from your ego, and the ego of others and the programming of your society and take responsibility for your own life. For the ego will try and control every aspect of your life by trying to convince you to follow an outer path so that you believe that you can be saved by following outer rules and regulations. The egos of others will engage you in endless conflicts to gain control over you to make themselves feel superior and important. They do not care about you but seek only to raise themselves even by putting you down and humiliating you.Your society seeks to control you by manipulating the media ,by controlling the information you have access to or by disinformation.
Why is it important to take back control of yourself ?
- Because when you have purified your whole being from imperfections and false beliefs, you will enable God’s light to flow through you to achieve his will. God will be able to use you to do his work, to manifest His Kingdom on Earth.
- And you can then take what you have learnt and internalized and share it with others, so they too can learn to “take dominion over the earth.”

If there is only One God, then why are there so many different religions ,all believing that their truth is the only truth ?
Could it be because people are at different levels of consciousness and understanding ?
Jesus taught the general people using parables, simple stories about their everyday lives, containing spiritual truths for those who had “ears to hear.”
But he taught his disciples deeper truths because they were ready to open their hearts and minds to something more, something higher.
Jesus knew that some people were only able to take the “milk of the word” but that more mature people were ready for the “meat of the word”.
Therefore, we can see that each spiritual teaching can only be received by those people at a certain level of consciousness.
And when a teaching has been assimilated and internalized, a person is then ready to receive a deeper, higher teaching.
But this requires being open-minded, being willing to accept that the truth one currently has is not the highest truth, that there is and will always be more to know and understand.
With this understanding we can see how futile it is to waste time arguing with others about religion or our own interpretation of Scripture.
It is far better to accept that people who are willing to grow spiritually will be drawn to the religion or teaching that they are ready to receive.

Philippians. 2:5 ” Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: “
Jesus had risen above the human mind, the human consciousness. He had separated himself from the mass consciousness—from what everyone else thought and believed.
He had developed the Christ consciousness, the awareness of who he truly was.
He believed that :–
- ” I and my Father are one.” ( John 10:30) He believed in the Oneness of all life.
- “ I can of mine own self do nothing; it is the Father within me who does the work.” ( John 5: 19,30 ; John 10:14) He believed that God was within him, giving him the power to do His work.
- “My Father works hitherto and I work.” ( John 5:17) He believed he was a co-creator with God.
- God was good. ( Mark 10:18)
- In the Golden Rule—-” Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” ( Luke 6:31)
- In the importance of forgiveness. ( Matthew 18:21-22)
- In the importance of loving God, oneself and our neighbours as ourselves.

What are you aware of, what are you conscious of?
It is important to know because everything is consciousness and the only way to change the outer, physical world is to change your consciousness, your perception of yourself and the world in which you live.
The dictionary definition of consciousness is:–
- the state of being conscious.
- the fact of awareness by the mind of itself and the world.
- one’s awareness or perception of something.
- Jesus’ whole teaching was based on giving people an inner path to follow which would enable them to realize how to gain control over their inner consciousness. He knew that once people did so, their outer circumstances would also change.
- Over time and with the interference of forces who do not want the general population to have freedom, the true inner teachings of Jesus have been watered down, misinterpreted or even removed from the Bible.
- If you want to have spiritual freedom, you need to be willing to look at how your consciousness is being and has been, manipulated through the media, through various forces in this world who want to keep you under their control.
- You need to be willing to look at and examine your own consciousness, your own thoughts and belief systems and take back responsibility for your own life. Start to think for yourself.
- What do you perceive about yourself and the world in which you live? What illusions influence you?
- All that you are aware of in this material realm makes up your human consciousness. You perceive the material world through your 5 physical senses and to these senses this world appears to be solid, separated from God and the spiritual realm.
- If you are ruled by your human consciousness, which includes your human ego, you see yourself and the world in a certain way.
- Your perception of the world will be different from other people who have not been brought up in the same country or religion or family circumstances.
- Each person’s consciousness when joined to the consciousness of all the other people on this planet, make up the mass consciousness, or the collective consciousness.
- The majority of the people on this planet are trapped in their human consciousness and they are influenced by the mass consciousness, often without being aware of it.
- If you want things to change in this world, you have to accept responsibility for your own consciousness, and separate yourself from the mass consciousness the best way you can.
- Realize that there is another consciousness which you can acquire which will raise you up above the human consciousness. That is the Christ consciousness. And as you put on the Christ consciousness, you help to raise up the consciousness of others.

Jesus tells us many times not to fear.
This is because he knows that we are really spiritual beings.
We are not our bodies.
We are not our emotions, or thoughts.
We are not our egos.
And our true selves, our spiritual selves cannot be hurt by anything in this material realm.
This is because everything is energy. And the spiritual realm vibrates at a higher rate than the denser material realm.
It is important to overcome fear because it :–
- Can prevent you from taking back control of your own life.
- Can paralyse you and stop you from making the decision to change.
- Can cause you to do nothing, to procrastinate and put off making a decision.
- Can cause you to avoid taking any decisive action.
To deal with your fear:–
- you must begin by using your free will to make a decision to confront and overcome your fear.
- then you need to learn and understand how fear is able to take hold of you.
- Fear is caused by illusions, which are incorrect beliefs you have about yourself, God and the world in which you live.
- Fears are caused by your acceptance of illusions, incorrect beliefs that you have acquired from the media, your family, friends, education and religious upbringing.
- The basic illusion prevalent on this planet, is the illusion of separation—the incorrect belief that you are separated from God .
- Because you feel separated from God, you do not realize who you really are, ie. a spiritual being who is currently living in a physical body. You chose to come here and you planned what lessons you wanted to learn and what family and people would be in your life.
- Look at the list of common fears and identify which ones apply to you.
- Identify the illusion, the incorrect belief , that has caused each fear.
- Decide to dismiss each fear, and no longer allow it to control you by replacing each illusion with the corresponding reality and truth of Christ.

To overcome your ego :–
- Accept your responsibility to take dominion over all aspects of your self—eg. your thoughts, feelings, words and actions.
- Seek and make contact with the source of your Being.
- Make meaningful contact with other people. Listen to others and strive to understand and empathize.
- Strive to control the ego drive to talk about self. Be willing to hear the truth about yourself without wanting to retaliate or find excuses.
- Transcend all ego impulses and exchange them for unconditional love.
- Be aware that the ego will try to interfere with your relationship with God.
- Be aware that the ego uses words to block your growth. It uses your religion to build a mental prison for your mind and seeks to hinder your search for the Living Truth. Whereas, your Higher Self seeks to help you see beyond the words to a higher meaning.
- Be aware that the ego will always seek to make you reject information that could set you free from its control. So refuse to listen to the ego’s voice and only listen to the voice of your Christ self.
- Be aware that the ego desires to be in control of every situation. It is constantly seeking to set itself up as an authority figure that cannot be questioned or gainsaid.
- Be aware that the ego lives in a constant state of fear that if it is proven wrong, it will lose its control over you and thus it will die.
- Be aware that the ego has no self-sufficient sense of identity. The ego is its beliefs and viewpoints. It bases its sense of identity and worth on its beliefs.
- Be aware that the ego distorts the way you “see” everything. It forms a filter that “colours” the way your mind perceives everything.
- Be aware that the ego is born of your soul’s separation from oneness and thus it is born from the consciousness of anti-Christ. Thus it sees everything through the filter of the consciousness of separation. It will ALWAYS see itself as separated from Go
- Be aware that the ego has no reality in and of itself. It only has the reality that you give it because you believe in its illusions.
- Be aware that you cannot see the ego when your attention is focused on the illusions.
- Be aware that as long as you believe in the illusions, you cannot discover the truth that the ego has no reality in God.
- Be aware that the ego is not real and thus has no power over you.
- Be aware that as you surrender the ego and let it die, you enter the Kingdom of God, the consciousness of oneness.
- Be aware that you are never beyond the ego or the need to surrender.
- Be aware that you need to let your ego die and then put on the wedding garment of the Christ consciousness.
- Be aware that your Conscious Self can begin the process of separating itself from the ego by re-establishing some connection to your I AM Presence, so that you know that you will not die when the ego dies and by expanding your understanding of the fact that the ego exists and how to see through its illusions
- Be aware that the ego would prefer to keep you either denying or being indifferent to spiritual growth. If it cannot achieve that, it will create a false path to salvation and make you convinced that by following this path, you will be saved.
- Be aware that you are MORE than the ego.
- Be aware that you need to surrender the ego’s control and accept God control.
- Be aware that you need to remain alert and look for something that is hiding and seeking to deceive you, ie.your ego, until the very end.
- Be alert and constantly reach for the Spirit of Truth.
- Avoid the subtle traps of pride by increasing your alertness and ability to see through the games played by the ego. All pride is based on a comparison that leads to a value judgment.
- The ego has only one game in numerous disguises but based on a sense of separation.
- At the core of every ego game is an incorrect belief–a belief based on the dualistic illusions of the mind of anti-Christ.
- Surrender the ego through service and sacrifice to all parts of life.
- Be aware of the many ego-games that are used to trap you.

Colossians 3:10 ” And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:”
- To set yourself firmly on the inner path , you need to be willing to give up following the outer religious path with its rules and regulations and seek guidance from your “new man”, who lives in the kingdom within you.
- This new man “ is your true identity, which is based on the reality of Christ. It has been obscured by the ego and its many illusions and the games it tries to get you to play.
- The Christ consciousness is a state of consciousness, an awareness that is more than the human consciousness. It is a universal state of consciousness, an awareness which is always one with God and always becoming MORE. It only becomes individualized when a son / daughter of God makes a free will decision to unite with the Christ Mind, the mind which Paul spoke about in (Philippians 2:5. )“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”
- When you begin to unite with the Christ consciousness, you will come to a full recognition of your spiritual identity and origin and you become willing to change. Then as soon you understand that a particular act or idea is wrong, you become willing to leave your old ways behind and embrace the new understanding.

Ephesians 4:22-24 ” That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind . And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
The “ old man “ can be seen as :–
a) your false identity, which you have based on the things of this world.
eg. • Gender • Race • Nationality • Ethnicity • Social status • Family background • Education • Religion • Accomplishments • Intelligence • Career • Political ideology, etc.
And / or the role you have taken on, eg. the role of the :–Loser • Martyr • Victim • Aggressor • Perfectionist • Failure • Winner • Know-it-all • Tough guy • Co-dependent, etc.
Shakespeare said, ” All the world’s a stage, and men and women merely players in it. “ So whatever part you are now choosing to play is not the real you and you can stop playing anytime you choose and step up to and into who you really are.
b) your self-created human-ego and its many illusions, false beliefs.
The human ego was not created by God. It was created when you decided to separate yourself from God. The human ego is made up of its own false beliefs ,which all sprang from the illusion of separation. This causes the ego to act very selfishly. Because it thinks it is all alone in this world, it seeks to grab what it can for itself. It only thinks of what it best for itself.
The ego has built a false sense of identity and security for itself, based on the things in the material world. It tries to control and manipulate you, ( the real You ), other people and situations in this world in order to create a sense of security for itself. It does not like to be wrong and will defend itself and its opinions using logic. Because it cares only about itself, the ego will use anything in this world to make itself feel superior and important, even if it means putting down other people.
You can “ put off” the ego by :–

- If you study Jesus’ teachings in the gospels and the teachings Paul received from Jesus after his ascension, you will see that they all referred to inner conditions that exist in people.
- Jesus went beyond the religious teachings of the Old Testament and of his time, that focused on the performing of outer rituals and obeying outer rules.
- Jesus taught that the only way to improve your life and change your outer circumstance, was to change your inner state, your inner beliefs, attitudes, emotions. He spoke about the need to forgive, to let go of fear, to love everyone.
- Ephesians 4:22-24 ” That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
- 2 Corinthians 4:16 ” For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. “
- 1 Corinthians 15:31c ” I die daily.”
- This is not an automatic process which occurs when you become a member of a Church or you confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
- This will be a gradual process that requires you to “put off the old man “ and“”put on the new man,” incrementally.

The inner path is the path of Oneness, the Way of Life.
Following the inner path means that:–
- you know and understand that “ I can of mine own self do nothing; it is the Father (my Higher Self) within, who does the work.” You will know that you are not the doer.
- you have taken full responsibility for your own life and salvation and you are ” working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
- you are continually looking for the “beam in your own eye” ( your ego and its illusions) and striving to remove them and replace them with the truth of Christ.
- you accept that it is a path of continual surrender and self-transcendence, which involves self-examination.
- you are willing to ” leave your nets” and give up your attachments to the things of this world.
- you seek for wholeness by realizing that you don’t need anything or anyone from outside yourself in order to be whole, in order to be saved. You only need to “ let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
- you have accepted that you are not just a mere human being, but that you true self is a spiritual being, who is currently living in a physical body , here on Earth.
